A personal assessment of your health risks. Our medical practice is dedicated to providing you with exceptional health care. We want you to feel good and enjoy a quality life. To do this, we need your help. We need you to schedule an annual wellness visit with our office. During this visit, we will assess your personal health risks through:

Family Nurse Practitioner
Sarah Benavides is a Family Nurse Practitioner with TrueCare Medical Associates. Sarah is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of several professional organizations including Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Texas Nurse Practitioners. She is committed to delivering individualized, high quality, patient centered care.

Dr. Kusumakar Sooda
Family Medical Doctor
Kusumakar Sooda was born in Manipal, India. He received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, India in 1993 and his postgraduate diploma degree in orthopedics from Manipal University, India in 1996. He completed his residency in Family Practice from the North Central Medical Foundation in Wichita Falls, Texas in 2009. He graduated with Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, Texas in 2021.
Dr. Sooda has over thirty years’ experience in the medical field. He spent his early years after residency practicing in emergency room settings and continues to serve as medical doctor at the State Supported Living Center and in free-standing emergency rooms in Corpus Christi, Texas.
During his practice in the emergency room setting, he saw a dire need for primary care in Corpus Christi and decided to open TrueCare Medical Associates in 2021 to meet the health care demands of a growing population.
In addition to his primary practice, he is on the board of Corpus Christi International Airport and strives to be a leader of his community.
Dr. Sooda enjoys spending time at the gym and with his pets.
