A personal assessment of your health risks. Our medical practice is dedicated to providing you with exceptional health care. We want you to feel good and enjoy a quality life. To do this, we need your help. We need you to schedule an annual wellness visit with our office. During this visit, we will assess your personal health risks through:

MEET OUR PROVIDERS
Kusumakar Sooda, MD
Family Medical Doctor
Kusumakar Sooda was born in Manipal, India. He received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, India in 1993 and his postgraduate diploma degree in orthopedics from Manipal University, India in 1996. He completed his residency in Family Practice from the North Central Medical Foundation in Wichita Falls, Texas in 2009. He graduated with Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, Texas in 2021.
Dr. Sooda has over thirty years’ experience in the medical field. He spent his early years after residency practicing in emergency room settings and continues to serve as medical doctor at the State Supported Living Center and in free-standing emergency rooms in Corpus Christi, Texas.
During his practice in the emergency room setting, he saw a dire need for primary care in Corpus Christi and decided to open TrueCare Medical Associates in 2021 to meet the health care demands of a growing population.
In addition to his primary practice, he is on the board of Corpus Christi International Airport and strives to be a leader of his community.
Dr. Sooda enjoys spending time at the gym and with his pets.
Dean Garza, FNP-C
MHA, MSN, APRN
Dean Garza is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a rich background in diverse clinical settings. He earned his Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nurse Education from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas, in May 2000. Dean then completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as well as both a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s in Science of Nursing, all from the University of Phoenix, graduating in July 2009 and June 2014. Most recently, he earned a Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Certificate from Purdue University Global in March 2020, with a focus in primary care.
During his career as a registered nurse, Dean specialized in psychiatric care, working with child, adolescent, and adult populations, as well as serving in medical-surgical and ICU settings. He also served as a shift coordinator at a local level II trauma center, overseeing operations and staff coordination.
Dean is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and was inducted into the Omicron Delta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor society for nursing, reserved for top academic achievers. Dean has also completed travel assignments as a nurse practitioner in Northern California, Vermont, and Northeast Texas, broadening his clinical expertise across diverse patient populations and settings.
