A personal assessment of your health risks. Our medical practice is dedicated to providing you with exceptional health care. We want you to feel good and enjoy a quality life. To do this, we need your help. We need you to schedule an annual wellness visit with our office. During this visit, we will assess your personal health risks through:
- A thorough review of your medical conditions
- A review of current medications
- Assessment of your current problems
- Review of family history
- Consideration of lifestyle
- Discussion of medical testing
- Physical examination
After the comprehensive examination, we will discuss what you need to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enjoy life to its fullest. It is important to schedule a visit specifically for wellness so we can perform this comprehensive assessment.
Dr. Kusumakar Sooda
Family Medical Doctor
Kusumakar Sooda was born in Manipal, India. He received his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, India in 1993 and his postgraduate diploma degree in orthopedics from Manipal University, India in 1996. He completed his residency in Family Practice from the North Central Medical Foundation in Wichita Falls, Texas in 2009. He graduated with Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, Texas in 2021.
Dr. Sooda has over thirty years’ experience in the medical field. He spent his early years after residency practicing in emergency room settings and continues to serve as medical doctor at the State Supported Living Center and in free-standing emergency rooms in Corpus Christi, Texas.
During his practice in the emergency room setting, he saw a dire need for primary care in Corpus Christi and decided to open TrueCare Medical Associates in 2021 to meet the health care demands of a growing population.
In addition to his primary practice, he is on the board of Corpus Christi International Airport and strives to be a leader of his community.
Dr. Sooda enjoys spending time at the gym and with his pets.
Kristi Glass
Family Nurse Practitioner
We would like you to meet our newest provider. Kristi Glass is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Southeast Missouri State University in 2011. She then earned her Master of Science degree from Maryville University in 2019. Kristi recently moved to Corpus Christi, where she resides with her husband, Andy, and their daughter, Cameron. In her spare time she enjoys reading, being active, and spending time with her family and their two dogs. She is looking forward to helping you obtain and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Felicia Ramirez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
We are thrilled to welcome Felicia Ramirez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to our clinic!
Felicia was born and raised here in Corpus Christi, TX. She began her nursing journey after earning her Registered Nurse degree from Del Mar College. With a commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills, she pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her dedication to continuous learning led her to complete her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Purdue University Global, where she specialized in Advanced Practice Nursing. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
With six years of experience as a registered nurse, Felicia has developed a comprehensive understanding of patient care and clinical practice. Her diverse background includes hands-on experience in various healthcare settings, where she has honed her skills in patient assessment, management, and education.
Felicia is excited to bring her expertise to our clinic, where she is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients.
Outside of work, Felicia enjoys spending time with her family. She is eager to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with our patients.
